Oh, what a day yesterday was!
It all began the night before yesterday. Lars' cough was a bit worse than usually, and he did cough up some blod. Just a little, and we all thought it was due to the heavy coughing.
Yesterday started quite well. Lars was a little more tired than usual and he coughed harder than before. He was now complaining of chest pains. Someone came from the care center and examined him. He had only a slight fever, so we had to wait and see... Two hours later, his temperature almost 40/104 and the care center called the doctor. Based on his vital numbers, the doctor procribed penicillin as she suspected pneumonia.
Jimmy and Mia came by. Mia had to pick up some cards I had made for her. Jimmy was playing with Mads while Mia and I were in the basement.
The nurse from the care center called, she wanted to check how Lars was doing ... I will forever be grateful that she did.
I opened the door to the bedroom - and saw Lars lying on the floor !!! He had fallen again. The nurse made sure that 2 came and helped Lars up again. They stayed 3 hours. The doctor's emergency center chose not to admit Lars, even though that was what the care center thought would be best.
Lars was not aware of what had happened, only that he had back pain. His fever was now 104 / or 40 in Danish.
It's been a long night. But now he is starting to get better. The medicine begins to work. He is blue, yellow and green on the right side of his back, so it is understandeble he is in pain.
I am grateful for my family, grateful for the care center and for a friend that I could unload on when everything became too much.
My little world is full of wonderful people and I take none of you for granted.
