Who braided the first Christmas heart?

To day the letter at Becceys place are "X". That's a difficult one.

I'm so glad Beccy provides suggestions for each letter. So, I looked at what she had come up with, and one of her suggestions for the letter "X", is an X-card.

A What?

I had to look in her register, and there I found a tutorial for an X-card.
So, I just had to try...

Front of the "X"-card
Did you know that the Danish author H. C. Andersen braided the first Christmas heart? It was in yellow and green paper, as far back as in the 1860s, but the Christmas heart first came on the tree when it got the handle approx. 10 years later.

Just a few looks inside the card.
Santa has to wash his clothes, A Christmas tree at night time,
you can barely see it, but there is an owl with a Santa hat on.
The 4th page will include a picture of our grandson.

Time has not stood still the last week. Do others feel like I do?

I have prepared for the Bækkebo Christmas Market. Tonight my daughter and I were off to display the things we have made, so it's all ready for tomorrow.
The only thing missing on the table are the things my sister-in-law brings.

Kamilla, our daughter, decorated a Christmas Tree with some of the ornaments we've made. The only things missing on the photo are the tissue box covers and some Christmas cards I made.

I'm finally getting my voice back. It has been almost 4 weeks where I have been alternately hoarse, without voice and hoarse again.
Oh, How grateful I feel, to be able to communicate again.
Speaking is a blessing. It is definitely a gift one should not take for granted.

  1. Beautiful card Conny, I love all the different images and papers you incorporated, I'm sure someone special is really going to enjoy it. I'm glad to read that your voice has returned, you sure were sick for a long time. Hopefully you and Lars are both now doing well.
Good luck with the market, your stall looks awesome!
    Cheers,
    Beccy
