Lars is getting better. A little better with each passing day.
We cling to the good times, but also fear the moments when it hurts a lot.
We almost know when the pain will appear. Lars is bruised: yellow, brown, purple, black on the right side of his back. He is swollen, but it is getting better. The hardest part is turning in bed, then the pain comes. The few times we have had to drive some places, and run over road bumps, (there are many of those where we live) the pain comes. It is a sharp pain that shoots like an arrow up the spine and also out into the lower back. Lars says it reminds him of when he fell and broke a rib.
On Monday, he had an appointment with his physiotherapist. She told us Lars should see his GP. She would write our GP with her finding.
Wednesday we had an appointment with our doctor. She was not to worried, but when she heard about, when he broke his rib, she immediately said that he should have an X-ray. This was the first time Lars had an appointment with our new GP. She was kind, and listened patiently while Lars tried to tell what had happened.
Lars got an appointment for the X-rays this coming Monday.
The broken rib:
In short: Lars fell last summer, and broke a rib. He had it for 2 weeks before we found out. Lars has a high pain threshold. After the fall this time, he asks for painkillers. It can be a red flag! Maybe it's just the fall, we hope so. All I know is, that when Lars is asking for painkillers - he's in much pain.
I love this digi-stamp from Beccys Place. We live in a world, where so much is happening. I sure don't understand much of the dynamics behind the problems we face in the world, BUT I do belive we need more faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Live more as He wants us to. It is really simple, we need to LOVE ONEANOTHER! We need to listing to our inner voice, follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit - and walk in faith!
On youtube I saw a tutorial on making boxes for storage.
Here's a link:

I cut pieces for some extra boxes! - or so I thought. Later in the afternoon, my grandson came. He saw my new boxes - and wanted to make one too. He's almost 7. It took an hour - and the box was done.
Afterwards he wanted to make a card for his mother.
I have just been reading back through your blog about dear Lars, I'm so sorry to hear of the troubles he's been having. I really hope there are no more falls and his back continues to heal rapidly. I also hope for some peace for you Conny, I know how worrying it can be to look after a loved one.
SvarSletI am very glad that you are able to spend time creating, it's so important to have something in your life that takes you away from your troubles, if only for a little while. Your card is beautiful and your storage boxes are fabulous. It's lovely to see that you enjoyed some time with your grandson too.
Cheers,
Beccy xx
